Mandarin Oriental's signature Rose Petal Jam was inspired by our Executive Pastry Chef's Yves Matthey's mother. Growing up in Switzerland, Chef Yves would assist her with canning jams during the summer, to be consumed during the long winter months. Here, Chef Yves improvised on his mother's recipe and added fresh rose buds to his strawberry jam, to create the hotel's iconic Rose Petal Jam. A must have for visitors and locals alike, our iconic Rose Petal Jam makes a wonderful gift and is best served with our warm scones and clotted cream during Afternoon Tea service, or as an accompaniment to fresh madeleines.
